Late February 21, while battling the blaze of a house fire, Justin Fredrickson was struck by a bullet from a loaded gun located in the burning house. Justin is a volunteer firemen, Volunteers represent 7 out of 10 fire fighters across the United States and 8 out of 10 globally. This is the Best of Us. Over the last year we have been working on a feature documentary about the unspoken beating heart of small communities, Volunteer Fire Departments.
